Earlier in this restoration the rear panel 24 pin female, Molex connector had to be plastic welded due to a mounting ear being damaged in shipping. Recently a source for what appear genuine Molex parts became available on eBay.

Due to the short leads to this connector inside the 2KL, a jewelers screwdriver was used to push in the two extended flanges on each receptacle to release the receptacles for reuse with the new connector shell.
