A few years ago, I purchased an iPlus system (box and cables) from Julius Jones W2IHY. Good price, great quality and good service. Now, as I'm reorganizing my shack with expanded transceivers, I needed to add another iPlus to manage 5 rigs. I emailed Julius with a list of what I wanted to do with the rig makes/models. Very quickly (a few hours, if that), Julius emailed me back with the exact web-links for the products. He verified that my desired PTT setup for my amplifier using a Heil FS-2 would indeed work best. I placed the order and it arrived quickly, superbly packaged and everything accounted for.
Placed side-by-side, I noticed something different about the previous iPlus vs the one that just arrived: the newer one had a larger knob on the main switch. Hmm. Was there just a boo-boo in manufacturing? I sent Julius a picture just to ask. No, he had shifted the production to using larger knobs due to returns said his e-mail but he'd just send me a larger knob in the mail. No charge. Not long after that email arrived, which I was most happy with, as I just kinda sorta wanted to keep my OCD at bay anyway, I received a phone call from Julius letting me know that he had actually found the original size knob in some left-over stock. He would send it out to me free of charge the next day in first-class mail.
Wow. I could never, every expect this level of customer service based on what I had paid for. But that seems to be W2IHY! I can only give my strongest possible recommendation of both his products and his customer service. Kudos to you, OM!
