The PO boxes in the two post offices in my area are open to users 24/7. It's been that way for at least 25 years.

Just had a situation here:

1) Identify the property, google maps helps.
2) Then use the district council Rates database to obtain the land Title number.
3) Order an online land Title search to reveal the owners.
4) Look again at Google earth to see if there is a business nearby that is in yellow pages or has a phone number online.
5) Send a nice text with a request that you need to get hold of Bill and Ben at flowerpot farm and would you be so kind as to round and ask them to ring me.  Enhanced by leaving out the full company name and just putting Uber, what do you think of then? food and taxi's.

Am currently going through the process of hiding all my details on land title searches.

Will also be complaining to Uber about the use of their name.

Plus a written complaint to The Privacy Office.

Luckily in NZ we have fairly strict privacy rules.  EVERY company/organisation MUST have a responsible for Privacy issues, so it makes it much easier to get this sorted.

Not many places are redacted on Google maps or street search, should they be?

KD2TTM,
I understand your concerns,. I had myself removed off qrz because they didnt ask me to post my info on their forum. So i go thru qrzcq, hamcall.Unfortunetly, when you apply for Any license concerning the Federal government like commerical, ham, frs, etc. its all accessible to the public.if you are concerned about privacy posting on a website, go to proton mail. And if you are really worried, Dont post. Since facebook is full of liberal commies i dont use it,twitter ,myface, theirface, etc.I will post here if i feel i need to comment on anything regarding amateur radio.remove your qrz listing by requesting your info be removed off their servers. Then after that try googling your callsign. alot of cant find you statements come up.you can also contact servers like zbba, people search, etc and have your info removed. even then those sites clone themselves into spinoof companies so they always have your info somewhere.Yea try googling after removing yourself from qrz. qth.com is also tied to them and you wont find anything. google my callsign ac9xh and this will show what websites are tied to qrz. If every ham did this and stood up for their privacy, qrz wouldnt be able to make soo much money off our names and info. thats why i dumped them.they prostitute themselves and us for money. Its like the vaccine. alot of people are coming down with covid who actually received the vaccine, so what good is it for? making the masses who have no spine to follow along, control and money..my own opinion. So remove your callsign from qrz.com and sign up for qrzcq or hamcall.older sites, more reliable and no bullcrap stuff, like selling your name and callsign to the lowest bidder. By the way i do come up with this website in a search, but i , repeat i decide to post here knowing i will be listed world wide on google.. but google qrz and you will see if you cut the ties with them, it really eliminates the selling of your name and callsign to others when you dont want it to be listed.

By the way my post office lobby is open 24/7. I also have another box in another town for my financial mail. Also it didnt take much online to open a new one. type your info in, submit the payment by paypal, and your done. 5 to 10 minutes max. i went over and picked up my keys next day with no questions asked.

I have only checked this in WI, so your mileage may vary. I can go to the Zoning website at the county level and pull up their maps that show the property tax ID numbers for each property. You can click on that number and it brings up a bunch of info like ownership, how much you paid for the property, recent property taxes paid and many more items. The really scary one is if you own property but don't live there, you mailing address where the tax bill goes is shown. So you can't hide there either. It is available because all land records are considered public records. And with the online searchable databases, extremely easy to access. I actually looked up a couple properties that had HR antennas and within 5 minutes knew their call signs. Between the property records and the FCC database, it was a simple search of public records.

Another scary site will show any case filed against you or case you filed against someone with most any court. I can't remember the name offhand, but its out there. I used an old version for background checks for rental applicants.

Not difficult to mine tons of info on anybody. So privacy is a joke nowadays. Even being off the grid still leaves a paper trail.

Yes, it is that way in Arizona. At least in Coconino county. On the county web site, it was easy to click through the various properties and find any county actions from the various land owners. They had a nice view or all properties, complete with a Google map overlay that made it easy to identify everything. It was also common to receive low-ball, insulting, offers for plots of land that I owned. I just used the offers to light my fire place.

The only privacy we got from Google maps is that, Google Street View wouldn't travel on our dirt roads. When the paved road stopped, so did Google Street View.

You might learn how to punctuate that post as an educated adult should be capable of.

Your call does not show on the FCC data base and it is my understanding a valid reason is needed to have it removed/blocked.
I dont see anything valid in your rambling rant.

I love chess, i have a complete commodore computer and amiga collection in mint condition along with some rare apple computer models that first came out. Ive run qrp most of my life since in the early 80s,like designing my own equipment and building kits and modifying them.Love qrp cw. 95% of my equipment is homebrew with homebrew antennas.the other 5%? icom 746,patcomm 500,flex-1500 and recently built qrpguys Digital AFP-FSK Transceiver III. puts out 5watts depending on pwr supply. Worked in the electric and electroncis field at a design level. so i really dont care about doing old habits and doing the punctuation thing.,know what i mean vern?I definitely dont like appliance operators who berate others who are trying to better this hobby.I believe any mode is a good mode. CW,psk,sstv,ft8,ssb,sat,rtty,etc.
no one ham is the ultimate GURU. everyone has a hand in giving their opinions and ideas.I guess some are so Engrained with old habits that they bring their crappy ways of doing things in real life to forums like this.

oh i forgot i dabble with sdr equipment. i use flex1500 and trl-sdr,

I design and build qrp power supplies as a sub hobby. I build spiral and loop antennas for 6 meters.
I use ft8 when the bands are crappy. And i dont appreciate a website that grabs info and posts it as their own like qrz.com and doesnt ASK permission. A courtesy email would be nice. Its common courtesy. We have enough gov scum prying into our lives that AT LEAST THEY COULD DO IS ASK YOU FOR PERMISSION TO LInK ALL THEIR SUB SITES TO QRZ.COM. Im a conservative who believes that the vaccine is bullcrap especially when fully vaccinated individuals have been coming down with the virus. Now the liberals arecoming up with another lie ohhhhh the delta variant. Its just another way to lock us down and take our liberties. And if you dont have a problem with qrz.com linking you to alot of sites, you have been dumbed down that you dont really realize the real problem.

If you feel you have to take a knee at sporting events, please leave the country and go to a country that will show you true love commie style.
Ohh and you better post about my being the president of my schools ham radio club for a year. WOW

instead of worrying about my posts about nothing, since it was to a fellow ham who made an honest statement and i was agreeing on his comments and explaining that qrz.com peddles your info to other sites, you who know who you are started it, and you should have minded your own business besides you went further and posted my info here to feel powerful,. But I dont have the flaw that ticks off other hams .where was this site? qth.com swap chat?

Yes yes im a bogus ham with a bogus call that the bogus FCC issued. Anyone can go to the FCC and find info on others.Been on their list since the early 80s

If you knew how to navigate the FCC website you would have come up with my callsign quickly:
oops i used a colon : well poop on me)(

and qrzcq.com is completely different from qrz.com DUUUUUUUUHHHH,

and post office lobbys are open 24/7 in most areas unless they have scum tearing them up. mine is 24/7 and they have package boxes that the clerk will leave a key in you box to pick up a package unless it has to be signed for.
