I'm wondering if anyone has had significant issues with RF interference and/or computer noise getting an external display with the items listed in the subject line on their IC7300? To me, this seems a pretty kludgy way to do it, but if it doesn't seem to be a huge issue with noise / interference, I will keep this combo in consideration as I am shopping for a new rig. Thanks.

I run that combination very successfully. I have the PTRX7300 installed in my IC7300 with an SDRPlay RSP1A connected. I run SDRUno on a moderate specification mini-tower PC (Intel Core I3 with 8GB memory) and two large monitors on arms over the rigs on the shack desk. The result is a very powerful combination. I run Win4ICOM as the CAT control software with Log4OM for logging and the usual suspects for digital modes - WSJT-X, JS8Call, FLDigi etc. All the software interfaces via Win4ICOM to give me a fully integrated computer controlled shack.

I can't detect any increase in the noise-floor of the 7300 from all the additional electronics in the shack - but it must be recognised that I'm located just a few miles north of London, so the ambient noise floor is pretty high anyway. It was a bit of a struggle keeping RF out of the PC and its connection to the 7300. I have almost completely solved this with the careful use of a large number of ferrite toroids and good earthing. One of my twin monitors does go blank when I transmit on 20m - I had run out of toroids by the time I installed that one and it is exposed to the full RF field!
