The fixed income I mentioned is the monthly income from investments that become less every month while the usual expenses continue to arrive like clockwork. At my age, at our ages, we'll hopefully be ok, but the political circumstances of today are starting to scare the bejabbers out of us. We voted for the winner, but he lost. ...sigh...

Charlie,

In the infamous words of Sidney Freeman,

"Ladies and gentleman. Take my advice: Pull down your pants and slide on the ice!"

But I suspect you are a regular practitioner...

Glenn, at my age, if I pulled down my pants, ice or no ice, Lois would just laugh. M*A*S*H* was my favorite program of all of them, then Barney Miller.

But is that your only income?

What about Social Security?

Why? What is it that worries you so much?

No, the winner actually won - this time.

M*A*S*H* was my favorite program of all of them, then Barney Miller.

Both were classics!

M*A*S*H was arguably the first comedy-drama. IIRC, early seasons had a laugh track, but at some point the laugh track was discontinued.

Barney Miller was perhaps the first true "ensemble comedy". It was a sitcom, but it wasn't based on a nuclear family. Rather it focused on s workplace. And despite the name, it wasn't all about one character.

Add Taxi and WKRP In Cincinnati to the list.
