Last week I set up my new Chameleon F-Loop 2.0 antenna connected to my Yaesu FT-891. Tuning to a SWR of 1.1 - 1.5 was easy however requires being near the antenna. With my drone construction experience my question is your thoughts on remotely controlling the tuner, switch A-B position and antenna direction with digital servo motors? A multi channel hobby level RF servo controller is cheap however very precise at positioning servo motors. My goal is not to alter the tuner other than rotate the tuner knob/shaft with a servo motor. The A-B switch could be toggled with another servo and the antenna position rotated via the unit sitting on a small servo positioned turn table. Battery power requirements are very low as my drones (6-ft wing spans) can easily stay in the air for ten minutes or so limited by the fuel tank size. Most likely one charge per day would be more than sufficient due to the low positioning usage. Your comments welcomed.
