HRO-600/602 EB
« on: September 23, 2021, 03:00:56 PM »

Anyone know what they are?
I came across a package of stick on panel labels I probably picked up in the 1992 IRS auction.

Carl,

After a little web searching, I’m guessing the labels refer to oscillator options for the HRO600. 601 was the VFO option with digital readouts, and 602 used thumb wheel switches.

Thanks John, that and W9AC's site got me 99% of the info but what does the EB mean? It "obviously" is for some front panel plug in.

I had no involvement with that radio and was across the room on the NCX-1000.

Yeah, both occurred around the same time...the 600 and Chapter 7

Carl:
I checked all my HRO-600 documentation which I received from Max Fuchs many years ago and I could not find any reference to the "EB" suffix in any of the text nor on any of the schematics and notes. Likewise, in the HRO-600 parts list, there were no parts that had the "EB" suffix.
Maybe "EB" stood for a phrase like "Encoder Board" or something like that.

Thanks for looking Pete.

Going by the problems at National in those years it may have been some feature or option that was cancelled.
