For some it is a satisfaction of actually doing something homebrew with hands and mind which unfortunately keeps happening less and less as the hobby keeps dumbing down.

https://www.remotehamradio.com/#pricing

Fake ham radio at it's finest. CAT cable DX'ers............Suckers actually pay $1,000 a year to join and $1 per minute to play ham radio.

And some people would rather lease a BMW than own a Yugo. Personal choice.

Yes, BUT they both will get you from point A to point B in the same amount of time (unless you do 150 mph in the BMW). Just more luxuriously with the Beemer ;).

Paying money to experience big-signal operating for everyday QSO's is a personal choice that doesn't affect anyone else's achievements. But operating in a contest or being an awards paper-chaser, using your smaller home station vs a pay-for-play remote superstation, with the same operator skill set, is a completely different scenario. Ability from point A to point B...advantage to the superstation. You're competing or achieving awards in your own call sign through a *commercial* endeavor. If you've built and own a home or remote superstation, more power (pun intended) to you. That's why it's called *amateur* radio.

Again, my opinion  ;).

The rule for Beemer owners was to sell before the warranty was up. Reliability still is on par with a 90's Taurus.

That is a SMART choice as a Beemer can take you to the cleaners with repairs. My #2 son had a outright purchased USA 2010 twin turbo diesel model and sold it in Munich just before the warranty was up but after he spent Considerable $$ to bring it up to German specs. He is now driving a RAV-4 along with a new wife and her son presently living in Moscow on a music production contract thanks to the Berklee College of Music where he attained a masters degree

The Audi is a similar mediocre performer best leased.

And if you're a mediocre performer you could end up in Moscow.

I took my bio down so Losers like you can’t read it ( like you just tried to do ) and try to find something you can attack me on.

Also, I am secure enough in who I am that I don’t always have to brag, boast, show off and validate myself as being a step above everyone else.

You should try it yourself sometime. It really makes life much simpler.

That QRZ thing is getting really old. You should hire a Writer to get you some better material!😂

BUT you dont have anything worth talking about so your petty and nasty jealousy is your fallback.
Its sad to be such a disturbed person that he doesnt have the nerve to post a bio.  A nobody suits you well.
