Is it just me, or do others find that Sellers do not answer emails to purchase their listed items.

Recently 3 emails to a ham stating,"I'll take it", goes unanswered. At least post that it is sold, or answer my

message with a SOLD.

This is a constant reoccurring problem on this and other sites. I do realize that it is not the sites fault, just

inconsiderate hams. This really gets my goat, especially when I'm not trying to get a lower price.

Whenever I have sold anything here I always made it a point to respond even if to say that the item was sold or promised to someone else. Rarely have I ever received a reply when I respond to a sales ad here. It seems as common courtesy does not exist among many hams anymore.

I only reply to the poster of the sale ad via their email address listed on QRZ.

I have received much better response time that way.

I have the same problem here also..someone says yes I want it..and that's the last you hear from them..I see a ad, send them a e-mail and never hear back. I though it was just me.. I guess I'm getting to old. Where is the common courtesy now days..

Email is a big part of it, very impersonal.
Companies like using it for customer service. Commonplace to ignore someone after replying to a couple emails, instead of putting effort into a resolution.

Haven't looked at used radios, but for other items.
I skip Ads that lack a phone number.
