Yaesu FTM-6000R Dual Band Transceiver
« on: December 04, 2021, 05:37:40 AM »

Is anybody using the new Yaesu FTM-6000R Dual Band rig?  I'd like to get back on 440 FM after a very long absence and the price of this rig (as advertised) and the fact that it is NOT digital and, thus, will not require a total re-education at this late stage of my life seems attractive to me.  Although earlier dual band models are readily available, they are usually priced very close to the price of this 6000 and I am not too enthusiastic about buying another guy's problem (of course, I know that NEVER happens in ham radio).  All wisdom is welcome.

Hi Tom - after you pick up the new rig don't forget to check the ARCC website
for your area surrounding UHF repeater lists - go to the repeater directory at
the top. These lists can be interesting and informative. Good luck with the new
rig and have fun and happy holidays.......DE Dan N2AYM
