ic 705 tilt bracket
« on: December 15, 2021, 04:19:24 PM »

hardly a bracket,! not worth a pix.
i cut a scrap alum flashing metal about 2.5 by 6 inches. drilled a hole along the edge , centered. used a short 1/4 in bolt to mount on bottom of radio.
bent away from bottom til i got what i wanted. BIG improvement at ZERO COST.

The above is a nice idea. At first I thought I'd do the same. But, these little clip on feet I felt are a much better idea. Flip out, the radio tilts to a perfect angle. Flip in, they become pretty much transparent. Nothing to take apart when you want to pack up and go portable.

If one can afford to buy an IC 705, I'm pretty sure their expense account can afford 9 dollars more.

I did not order my 705 yet, but you can rest assure those  feet will be here long before the radio gets here.......as well as a bigger clip on battery.
Batteries America sells a 3050 mah battery for the 705 for only $65.95.
