FTDX 10 Small Button Fix
« on: December 18, 2021, 08:24:22 AM »

I've not seen this mentioned but the way I get around the tight buttons on the 10 is to use a pencil or pen. Very simple and works very well. I like the size overall because it fits into a backpack easily. I do wish they would change the band setting menu delay to at least 5 seconds but other than that no other complaints.

yeah, that band menu comes and goes pretty quick.
AN alternate way to change bands ( or MHZ step) with the inner ring.
When in VFO mode press and hold the step/mch button for 2 seconds. It will blink , then the radio will be in MHZ steps on the inner ring.

What about using a nice soft eraser on a pencil?

For band change or mode change press the band or mode button and then use the VFO outer ring dial to scroll to the band or mode of choice in lieu of pressing the touch screen buttons.

Firmware update now gives more time to choose a band. FYI
