How about staying on topic guys....   your FD operation in Ohio is an entirely different topic.

There is no topic. OP copied and pasted the same thing in FOUR different threads and was then informed that YOTA is already a thing. If you take out the idea of calling this yards on the air thing YOTA what are you left with? Oh yeah, people going in their backyards to play radio. TONS of hams do that every day of the year.

So like I said, there is no topic.

While "Yards On The Air" is a great idea, (sadly already in use) how about "Outdoors On The Air"..."OOTA". (It would be a longer send via CW.) But isn't about getting outdoors and operating? Does it matter if your in your backyard, small public park, (Not part of "POTA") parking lot of a mall, shopping center, church, or a Walmart. Or even a cemetery!

I was going to suggest borrowing from the British word for "back yard" which is "garden" to have GOTA.
...but that conflicts with "Get on the air" used on Filed days...  (sigh)
