Neat idea Mark!

A great idea to take some of the (sometimes ugly) competitiveness away from ham radio and put some of the fun back into operating. Think about sitting on your deck or in your yard have a frosty mug of a refreshing beverage and making contacts.

I honestly can see no downside to this idea.  Let's make it happen.

What's your point? You want the confusion of eleven different SOTA's, seven different IOTA's, thirteen POTA's, etc...? Copyright or not, you're mucking up the waters for EVERYONE when you start naming stuff the same as other stuff. As a software developer, what happens when you name one variable the same as another variable? I bet it either messes stuff up or just reassigns the variable. Either way, nobody wants that in this particular situation.
