So I was just watching episode 7 of the new HBO mini-series "Station Eleven" and one of the main characters removes something from another apartment and brings it into his. Don't worry it's not really theft since 99.99% of the world is dead at that point from the Georgia Flu. He sets it on a table and turns it on and it is an IC-705 tuned to 7.145 MHz and hears a bit of chatter. The 705 does not play any sort of role beyond that but it was still interesting(to me anyway)that the prop people included a real modern, ham radio into the show. This is a 10 part mini-series based on the book of the same name. Story is about a global flu pandemic that only 1 out of a thousand survies. SHooting started before COVID 19, had to be stopped because of COVID 19 and finished when things started getting back to normal. Can't say watching it has not been a surreal experience. Jumps back and forth between life before the pandemic, just after and 20 years later.IMDB linkhttps://www.imdb.com/title/tt10574236/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1Gino - KE8KMX
