What the hell is wrong with you? Why did you lock the Visalia DX Convention thread?
Every time there's a DX thread of interest, it gets locked.  Do you not understand a little back and forth is good for business, shows ads, pays the rent?

Other than overt politics, I have long puzzled over when and how things get locked in this forum.  In the end, we don't own it, so we don't set the rules.

You might move your discussion over to "Site Talk" and ask there.

If you're talking about the post I saw "Sadly, the rebound of Covid has caused the cancellation of the 2022 DX Convention in Visalia, CA."  there isn't any need for conversation.   Leaving that open to replies will just lead to a cesspool of comments that will quickly turn political.   Now if I owned the site and you called me an idiot commie that would be the last post you make.   My 2 cents.

As far as I know I was the only person who commented on the DX Convention thread and all I said was "Thanks again, China." which is not political at all. That's where the virus came from, it's the virus that get the convention cancelled AGAIN. I think eHam is just afraid of people getting their feelings hurt and complaining about some woke bull crap.

True, the virus originated in China, but we can thank ourselves for what has happened since. Anti-masking, anti-vaxing, misinformation from our leaders, believing social media "experts" over professionals, livestock dewormer, etc., etc. We really fumbled this one as a nation.
