Looking for someone to perform firmware updates on two connect systems radios. I have a connect systems cs-800d in my truck, and a cs-750ht, that the latest firmware update bricked the radio stuck into flash mode and will not reboot. I have the pdf file page that tells you step by step on how to do the firmware updates, followed it like such and the radio is stuck in flash mode. Ive tried reading and writing to and from the radio through the cps, and because of it being stuck in flash mode, the cps does not recognize the radio. I have tried swapping the batteries, letting the radio sit overnight, turn the radio on while holding down the ptt and the orange button on top, nothing works. My CS-800d also needs firmware updates to allow a larger contacts list, but I'm petrified not scared, petrified to even perform the updates without the radio being bricked or locked in flash mode, even though I did exactly to a T what the instructions listed. I have called tech support and received an email from them that was basically useless. I kind of gave up on that end. Tech support on the phone were very rude and intelligence insulting. I'm hoping someone on here is a lot more "professional" and "considerate" and is a lot more "informative" on these issues. I refuse to perform any updates on my cs-800d without someone else doing it. If someone out there has experience out there with these radios, i will gladly send them to you and pay you to do the updates. I was also told... don't know how true it is, I was told too that I need windows 7 and not windows 10 to do the updates on, and I do not have windows 7. I can also share what tech support sent me via email that was practically useless.

It sounds like you put the wrong Bin file in your radio?

Since the new files came out on Jan 9th 2022 for the 750 HT,  I'd bet it was between jan 9th and today when this problem occurred?

Did you put a 4000 channel host for S4.00.09 in a radio that required S8.00.10 or vice versa?

You have a firmware mismatch to the hardware in your and it's locking the radio up.

If so then I'd bet that Jerry simply chastised you and asked this same question and then he told you that there is no easy fix that you can do yourself aside from sending the radio to connect sys.
