Not the east coast as you requested but Kenwood experts for sure. If its a nice rig do yourself a favor and check with them, 73 Rich

I don't know if it's they are sick of them....  Parts are pretty hard to come by for a lot of them now.

If you don't have a bunch of donor rigs, you can't get some stuff.  And even if you do have 10 donors in the back room, that's only 10 repairs for a common problem where parts are unobtanium.

It's easier to keep a 1950s Johnson on the air now than an early 80s ham rig in some cases.

You live where I do, you better know how to fix your own stuff.  I can't imagine the cost to ship say a 940 to the states and back.  I brought all my ham stuff here as carry on via American Airlines :0

Check with Tim Moes at Midwest Tech in SD.  Great repairman but shipping might not be cheap.

Two sites and amateurs to look at:

 K6IOK.com <sales@cdi1.com>     Has mods for the 930s & 940s and quite a few followers.

https://sites.google.com/view/menuforzl4ai/ts-940-page    Lots of good info at this site also.

Don't give up!!! The 940 is a great radio.  I would never get rid of mine!!!

Good Luck & 73s,
Win
