 i looked at videos on how set up ft8 for the yaseu ft897.  when i test ft8 cat and ptt are green and red indicating ok for ptt. i am receiving decode ft 8 signals no problem the issue is it wont ptt when i try connecting to station  all i hear is ft 8 signal but my radio is not going into ptt.

Might need to have it set up for usb/data mode in the ft8 program settings. What happens when you hit the "tune" control in ft8. Does it key and give a carrier??

 notthing happens with i press tune on ft8 programme its very strange on test cat and ptt are red and green so this would indicate all is ok right.
