VM780 to connect to Yaesu FT-1000 MP
« on: March 26, 2022, 11:24:12 AM »

Hi I am trying to connect and make my digital screen copy data. I am using VM780 (Ham Radio Deluxe) and I’ve tried everything and I still cannot get VM780 to decode digital signals. My rig is an Yaesu FT-1000Mp. I am using an interface cable.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

What digital modes and frequency's have you tried, and what do you see on the waterfall?  I would recommend trying PSK 31 and 14.070 for a start as it is more prevalent than some other modes and that freq is a good place to start looking for it. You should see the twin "train tracks" on the waterfall and place your decode cursor on one and see what happens. If you are not seeing the "train tracks" then you will never decode anything. I am assuming you are using your computers sound card and do not have an external device. I am assuming (yeah I assume a lot) you have the audio out of the rig hooked up to the  computer correctly.

If you are lost, you can contact me and we can do screen shares using AnyDesk and speak over the phone.  Send email or PM me to exchange phone numbers.
