using external B+ switch for on/off with ic7300?
« on: April 25, 2022, 11:54:20 AM »

got my ic7300 running very nicely with computer control software and like being able to control the rig without using the front panel controls.
but can't any simple way to use external on/off via software...so am wondering if could just simply use an external toggle switch to turn the rig on and off...anyone done this? thanks de denton wb7tdg.

WSjt-x will also turn on the rig when it is invoked, I don't think it will turn it off though.

The CAT commands for turn on and off are in the manual.

I checked again, AND that feature has been removed in the latest version of WSJT-x due to some complaints but some users. It can be added back in the hamlib though. In any case it is now gone.
