The flea market area was great and lots of good stuff to look at. I really enjoyed the event.

The flea market area felt just as busy as the last hamvention in Xenia.

It did seem weird to not see a big Kenwood display area. Lots of people checking out the Icom, Yaesu, Flex displays.

DARA did a good job, the shuttle from the free parking area was smooth.

Any news from Alpha / Ten Tec?

They were there, I saw them.
But I had no interest, so I didn't look that hard.

Indeed, the parking at the high school, and the shuttles worked very well.
Flea market was pretty busy. Indoor exhibits and vendors had lots of stuff as well.
Kenwood was not there this year, neither was Palstar. But all the rest of the regulars seemed to be present.

Friday morning early there were storms that rolled through, but they passed before opening.
It got very warm and humid on Friday. Saturday was slightly cooler.
We left around 1PM on Saturday, and there got some more storms around 3PM or so.

Overall, it was a great event. Found just about everything I intended to purchase.
It did seem that attendance might have been a little on the low side, but the crowds were pretty good.

I definitely enjoyed Hamvention, and am already starting to plan for next year's trip!

Mike N8WFF was there.  We chatted on Friday; I never had a chance to talk with him on Saturday.

He has plans, pending parts (just like everyone else).  More than that, I would need his permission to speak.

Anything in the way of public announcements?

Use Xenia High School.  It's easy to get to and is only a 5 minutes bus ride; about the same distance as the Salem Mall lot from Hara.

Thanks for the advice.  Access and transportation were excellent on all 3 days.

That's a pretty darned good turnout. Bigger number than I expected, but that's great!
Already looking forward to Hamvention 2023!
Gotta rebuild the hamfest fund before then, but I should have plenty of time for that.
