As title states. looking for a trunk lip NMO mount that has a wider gap to fit over a thick hood lip. Not looking for the 3 peice adjustable type, just the regular mounts. Similar to type in this link:  https://theantennafarm.com/images/tram1246b.jpg

I have been extremely pleased with this particular type trunk lip mount.  Would it be possible you could pry the opening wider to fit whatever thicker lip you need to deal with?

That's exactly the type mount I want, but the Laird i bought wont open anywhere near the size I need. On my last car I sold, it had a Browning one on it that would have worked great, but apparently they do not sell it anymore, as I have not been able to find it anywhere.

I just got, and returned, a Comet RS-720NMO that I wanted to put on the rear tailgate door of my Jeep Wrangler.  The door thickness is 1/4" but the lip portion of the mount wouldn't quite fit.  I didn't want to go bending things so I sent it back and went with a plan B and got a fender mount.
