Molykote lube for a tuner
« on: June 10, 2022, 04:05:26 PM »

I have a Harris RF-302 random wire tuner that I want to get ready for Field Day. The maintenance section of the manual calls for using molykote G lube for the front panel bearings and the chain drives, as well as the roller rods and shafts of the roller inductors. I have white lithium grease readily available. Can this be used instead?

Paul,

Molykote G is a lithium based grease so you should be able to substitute a generic lithium grease. The application is not very demanding.
