1) You could have dirty contacts. Try contact cleaner. Spray it in the jack and on your phone plug, and plug it in and out several times.

2) You may have a solder contact broken on a circuit board. Seek a technician.

ok, so when i plug in my headset to the phones jack on the front, I hear nothing. Hope that clears up my post.

We're confused, at least I am.
My headphones work, my speaker works, my radio works. When i plug in my headset its shuts off the speaker but nothing comes through the headset.  Sorry you're confused.

So the next thing to ask is it possible yo have a phono plug compatibility issue?  (Think stereo/mono)

If you're sure you don't have a plug issue, it may be time to open the box and see if you can find a broken wire, broken PCB connection or even a cold solder joint.
