QRP Antenna Tuner
« on: July 30, 2022, 01:09:25 PM »

In 1995 I built the NorCal kit called the St. Louis Tuner, a QRP T-Match antenna tuner.

I sold my TenTec Argo 556 QRP radio about 10 yrs later and then sold the SLT Tuner.  I sure would like to have the tuner again, but can't remember or find who I sold it to :-(

Does anyone recognize this and know who has it now??

I couldn't find anything up to date on the tuner. But there is a little information on-line.

In the March 1996 issue of QRPp, page 53, is a big write up on the tuner.

Plus there is a St. Lewis Tuner Construction Guide. It has lots of mark in it and I can't read most of the hand written notes.

You might be able to contact some of the hams listed in these documents. They might have a box of parts left over.

beautiful work there... i love QRP tuners... started with BLT, then BLT+, then the KD1JV morse dipper, then KD1JV tenna dipper, then 4SQRP, then qrpkits SOTA tuner (really nice!)...

but my favorite now is the mfj 16010 modified with a Tayloe LED SWR indicator (qrpkits has a $5 board w/components)... fits perfectly inside...

i recently acquired an mfj Econo tuner and 16010 ST, but i am reluctant to modify those... the 16010s are common enough though

If he still has them breadboard radios had a qrp tuner kit that was simple and very effective. It was called the matchstick
It could tune as low as 100 mw
Max though is 5 watts
Has both bnc and wire connector for ladderline.
I have one and i love it.
