Had the same problem today. I did the reset password about four times. Once I finally got in, using a "one time password," I couldn't reset it to the one I wanted. It kicked me out, so I then call the membership number listed. I was on hold for a half hour, then gave up. I tried one more time (never give up) and was able to get in after doing the reset password thing again. After all this I'm wondering if my membership fee is worth it??? They must have revised something on their site as someone indicated.
Of course you will not be able to reset the password to the one that you wanted. Why? Because the password you wanted does not meet the criterion for a secure password. And the password system will continue to "kick" you out until you do enter a password that meets the criterion of a secure password. When you do enter a secure password it will happily accept it and set it as your password. Example: Did the password that you wanted to use meet the criterion of Over 8 characters?, did it include a numeral? Did it also include a Capital letter? and finally did it contain a punctuation character? I would bet you violated one or more of those rules.
Look, no one wants to use a secure password. You don't want to use a secure password, and I sure don't want to use a secure password, because secure passwords are difficult to remember. But if we all continue to use insecure passwords that we can easily remember, then those passwords are easily breached. And besides, secure passwords are designed to keep out the owners of the account. And they do that very well.
