programing a tyt- th-9000 220mhz radio.
« on: August 15, 2022, 12:04:03 PM »

Hi guys. have a th-9000 220 radio mobile. about 2 years old, new 220 repeater went on the air here so decided to set the 9000 up. I had a RT systems  software and cable. set it all up ran the program, every thing worked as it was suppost to , up and down load to the computer but the info the rt systems sent never shows up on the radio when finished.Spent spme time with the tech. at rt, no luck the proton showed all the info I sent the radio with the program was there but could not make the radio show it was programed. RT was ??? they were going to get back, never did.
Tried to hand program the radio, did a full reset, was able to get the frequency step correct, tone set , frequency set  but not able to set the  - offset. the directions are really hard to figure out, they tell which buttons to push for what and they never match the directions. At 81 I have little patiance  any more. Is there a more up to date manual? Or could some one got thru the manual setup on the phone with me? Be happy to send the radio if someone could program it for me.         thought this form would be the best to send this on.

Your radio is supported by CHIRP.  [https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home][/url]

Try downloading the software and give it a try.  If it works, you are golden - if not, you have just lost a little time.

I am 75 and also have little patience these days  ;D
