IC-7300 update question
« on: August 16, 2022, 12:26:30 PM »

I have successfully updated my firmware for my ICOM IC-7300 to version 1.41.

The icon for which antenna is connected has disappeared.  It used to show right below the receiving mode.  Where do I select between antenna port one, two or three?

I checked in the ICOM PDF's for user manuals for this transceiver but that had not been updated since their original version 1.3 I think it was.

I wonder if a reset will bring the other two jacks back :)

Would someone please explain to me what the original poster is talking about?   My IC-7300 does not have 3 antenna ports, nor does the factory manual show three ports.   What am I missing?

He may be talking about Cracker Jacks, I’m not really sure.

Due to the fact he has not come back with any kind of answer speaks volumes. I sure hope he would take the time to read the manual and the brochure as others have pointed out there is only 1 antenna jack and no antenna icons on the face, never will be and never was an antenna icon.

Its a logic question, like the ones that pop up on utube.

clues,
there was a 1.41 up grade
the radio might be an icom
What ever radio it is might have had 3 ports.
Radio has display that shows the port being used.
Manual is the 1.3 version

May have figured out the Original Poster's problem.   I suspect he confused an IC-7300 with an IC-9700. If he bothers to  come back and confirm that,  maybe someone can continue to assist him with the original problem.

I don't see an antenna icon on that model either.

My Icom 9100 has 4 antenna ports, and ant1 or ant2 show on hf, but there is no indicator for vhf or uhf because they each have one dedicated port.

My 7300 of course has only one port with no indicator.
