Hey guys;
i have a C.Crane CC Pocket radio which I use to listen to ballgames while out walking my dog.
Since the radio does not have Bluetooth, I need to connect the cable that came with my BT headphones.
I would like to go wireless, using a dongle that would plug into the radio's headphone jack and transmit to my BT headphones.
Looking on Amazon, all I see are BT receivers, intended to be used in an older car where you have an aux audio input and want to play tunes from your phone over BT. That would be a receiver, but I need a BT transmitter.

Is there such a device that would be small enough to use with the small radio and not get in the way itself?

Thanks

I've done this in a few places.  At work where I use BT to listen to streamed content, at home to listen to streamed to my "vintage" bose radio and in my RV to listen to stuff from my phone over the entertainment receiver.  The ones I've gotten are all different make/model but they all work the same and pretty inexpensive.  Plug them into USB for 5V power, select whether they transmit or receive, link them to your headphones or source and off they go.  A couple of them have batteries and will operate without a DC connection for some number of hours, sounds like that's what you'd go for.  Other than having another thing to charge and carry around they pretty much work as you'd expect.

Thanks guys;
I suppose the one that W0RW has for sale would be the best overall, but I don't think I want to spend that much for what I need it for. I see that the earbuds are included for the price, but I cannot use earbuds, as they cause problems with my ears when I sweat.
I have a pair of JBL/UA Train headphones I use with my Android phone.

Reading the reviews for the cheap one on Amazon, I am afraid I will become frustrated with connectivity. I guess you get what you pay for...

So in the end, I'm probably going to stick with the wired solution. After the baseball season is over, I won't be using the radio much anymore, especially not outside while on the go.

There is one more possibility: If I could get an adapter to stream audio from the radio into my Samsung Galaxy A51 (Android 12) USB port, then an app that could send that audio over BT to my headphones, it would allow me to listen to the radio, and still take a phone call. I know that I can get a USB DAC, but not sure about USB ADC.
Then again, if it's going to present more frustration with connectivity, I would put it away in a drawer somewhere and forget about it.

I just put an Alura bluetooth receiver on my garage stereo, working well for $45 at Best Buy

I bought a cheap transmitter/receiver on Amazon that works well. The brand is ZIIDOO and it was less than $20.
I use it for late nite tv. Built in battery and small size.

TGQ:  I have been following this thread with great interest.  I have a need and have just learned to spell. "BT."

Would you elaborate just a bit on how you connected this stuff to your TV and how is the volume controlled?  TY.

K8AXW-

 You plug it into the earphone jack on the tv, and use the tv remote for volume and channel.

For television use, both the BT headphones and BT transmitter should support the aptX LL (for Low Latency) specification.  Normal BT latency is a distraction when watching TV.

At present, I'm using an 'Avantree Audikast' Plus transmitter (purchased through Amazon) and Sennheiser PXC-550ii headphones with acceptable results.
