Radiowavz - company is still around but shouldn't be
« on: September 01, 2022, 09:14:01 PM »

Purchased their new Cobweb 40-10 antenna at Hamvention May 21, 2022. It's a clever design with a very small footprint. I specifically requested it be made for CW portion of the band. I was told 2-3 weeks for delivery. Finally on June 21st the antenna arrived. All looked good but no directions on how to assemble it. Another email and I got the instructions which were scant at best. It took me a couple of days to get it assembled and up in the air only to find it was built for SSB not CW. After 3 days they responded to my email on June 27 claiming they were making wires that day. Ten days later I emailed again asking the status. They did not reply for another full week. They said I'd have the new wires in another week. These are just wire lenghts with a spade lug on the end nothing special. Two weeks later still no wires so I called and was told the would be shipping soon.  They obviously just don't care so I asked for a refund after two months of this game. I returned the antenna fully cleaned and packaged just as I had received it. They sent me an email saying my refund was being issued MINUS 20% $100... for their incompentence. It took 3 weeks to get my partial refund. It's a decent product but poor company with lousy customer service. These are all documented facts. So buyer beware when dealing with Radiowavz

I found their products to be of poor quality.  I bought one of their G5RV's a while back and it came apart after less than a year of use.

About 20 years ago, they 100% copied one of our products- right  down to the manual, photos etc.
Of course, they changed from a teflon/silver connector to some cheap substitute, stainless to cad plate hardware  and the teflon coax to  cheap stuff.
We had to get our attorney to write them a cease and decisis  letter.
