PSK Reporter

PSK Reporter has a drop down menu to select mode. Has anyone had any luck selecting CW or RTTY to see where you're being heard, because I haven't much luck on anything other than FTx

Well, think about it:  How many people report their CW contacts to PSK reporter. not many.

On the other hand if you go to the Reverse Beacon Network, If they called CQ, they are likely in there because the skimmers will find them automatically and report to RBN.

Yes, but.. I always thought PSK Reporter used RBN data to populate their maps, no?

I think -- not to be confused with I know for sure -- that the only reports displayed on PSK Reporter are from stations that chose to/and selected "report to PSK Reporter". My WSJ-x is set up that way in the menu and does it automatically when I am transmitting on FT-8 for example. So when the rig is on it's hearing and displaying what I heard for others to see -- on whatever band and mode I selected. Since FT-8 is popular there are lots of stations listening -- and therefore displaying -- that they heard you. Not many do that on CW. Does anyone do it on SSB? RBN and WHISPER are probably what you need for what you want.

No, they only report data that has been sent to them by other stations. WSJT-X will send those reports automatically so you get many reports from digital mode stations. Not so much from CW or other modes.
