Burghardt Radio Repair
« on: October 11, 2022, 11:20:44 AM »

I really like this place. I had my Yaesu-FT874 repaired there a couple of years ago. They were very reasonable and got my rig back in a couple weeks. Recently I had a problem with the same radio. I called them to ask about shipping my radio back for a repair estimate. I spoke to Jim Smith and he asked me about the problem. He told me the FT-847's are notorious for sticking push buttons and the symptoms my radio was experiencing sounded like that. He suggested I power it up first and press all the buttons before I sent it in. I did like he suggested, and it turned out my MOX button was stuck. I called him back and thanked him for his help.

Several years ago I bought some new items from them.  After 25 years they are still working. Thet were very reasonably priced.
