Need to replace the battery on my ham shack Mac book pro.  Anyone have any recommendations on suppliers other than Apple who have fresh stock?  I don't want to buy some old stock junk that some person is selling on Ebay or Amazon.

Me confused. You said you want a ham laptop battery. If that is what you want, then you want old stock POS off flea bay.

I think if you want guaranteed "new/fresh" ones you'll have to pay the highest price possible, probably directly from Apple.
Anything else is a crap shoot but far cheaper lol.

Amazon is reliable seller with a great return policy. I have bought batteries, capacitors, resistors and all sorts of other stuff. If you're not satisfied, return it. They even pay the postage.

I think I know what the poster is asking, if you don't buy original, if available, you never really know what you are going to
get, mah ratings are all over the place. Its hard to tell who will give you a fair deal. I would guess he has found lot of 
different prices.

I usually bite the bullet and go OEM with certain battery packs.  In the case of a laptop battery, I'd more than likely spend the money for an OEM from the factory assuming it is still available.  I have rebuilt my own packs too so that might be an option in certain situations.
