I had the predecessor, FT 1000, and twice the finals were taken out by passive lightning strikes. A trip to a repair shop perhaps?

What is the output with no amp attached ??  Meaning.  disconnect the amp, and the amp keying line.  run the FT 2000 directly to the antenna.  Do not go though the AMP.

Do you have the ALC line connected  ??

Get back to us and let us know what happens ?? dies the FT 2000 have full output with nothing else attached.

Hi.On the radio check how many amps the finals are drawing..Is the output the same on all bands? Test it into a dummy load if you have one.. Sounds like the finals are bad..I had to replace the finals in a FT-2000 before.Good luck!

Hi again,it was my own fault,I was away from Hamradio for near 6 months and the mic gain was near zero,I rechecked everything and it seems perfect again,I had a good evening of Dx to the USA and Canada last night even 2 hrs after our darkness, thanks again all,now I have to take down my Steppir DB18 and try and find out why it stopped working on 30/40m bands thanks again all

Good.  Glad you got things going.  Sounded like a small problem.  Hope to work you on the air.
