JS8Call Error in Sound Input (Raspberry PI)
« on: October 20, 2022, 01:26:52 PM »

I am trying to use JS8Call on my Raspberry PI4 connected with a Yaesu FT-818 through SCU-17 interface.
At the first attempts I received always the following error message at the JS8Call startup:

Error in Sound input
Requested input audio format is not supported on device

after some trials and having finally configured everything including CAT etc... the JS8Call started working ok. Receive ok, transmit ok, made my first QSO with great fun. After that I closed and opened again the JS8Call and I got the same error! Apparently the error randomly appears (most times) and I didn't find yet a stable configuration.

Note that same setup have always worked fine with WJSTX (both FT8 and WSPR).

Any hint to solve? Thanks a lot.
