« on: October 31, 2022, 11:27:25 AM »

I have several HTX-202s which I have used for years I had a hand mic which seemed pretty generic I think it probably came from china I used it until it fell to pieces I have tried 3 or 4 different replacements and none of them will work they don't transmit  Is there a hand mic which will work with my 202

Check the ones which were sold for the Icom IC-0xAT series. IIRC, an HTX-202 is essentially an IC-02AT.

Any good microphone will work if properly wired and levels and impedances are matched.  Have you checked your multiple mics for output?  What test eqpt do you have?

Page 14 of the manual shows you the wiring for either a dynamic or an electret microphone.
