IMHO, you should not be using a bug for 10 WPM. Bugs were never meant to operate that slow. It often makes the bug unwieldly and makes for sloppy code. For 10 WPM a nice straight key of side slapper would be better.

What in the world are you talking about? I think you need to get a grip on yourself.

This is a discussion group and I gave my opinion on using a bug at slow speed. That's all. No one is stopping you from doing your own thing OM.

Yes, I have a bug too, but it's a little too fast for me. I tried slowing it down, but didn't like how it felt. I don't know what else your going on about. If you goal is to send faster and send good code, I still say you are better off with a straight key or a side slapper. I would suggest a keyer, but I see your in the SKCC.

Bad year? Everyone has a bad year or two. 2021 was my bad year. November 3 (yesterday) was the the one year anniversary of my wife of 47 years, passing away due to a stroke. She was only 67.

Jackie,

I agree with MEM on all points.  1 - He gave you good advice and information about the use of a bug.  2 - He was not attacking/bullying you.

I also agree with you.  You can do whatever you want with your bug.

Good luck and enjoy life.

Jackie, I know how difficult it has been for you the last few years, but the fact is, bugs were never designed for 10 wpm operation. You can slow them down by adding weight to the arm but it's not really a good solution. Bugs are best at 18 WPM plus.
No one is attacking you; they're just trying to help by offering alternatives.
