I guess I forgot to mention I have replaced the 811A's with new Penta Labs 572B's already. I also know the rule of thumb is a 1 to 4 ratio on AM, or 25 watts carrier modulated to 100% equals approx. 100 watts actual output. I probably won't want to run over 400 watts modulated output from the AL811H, just to keep things down a bit. I'm also not a long-winded rag-chewer type to begin with, so I won't be throwing the switch for a 5 minute keydown dissertation of the current topic on AM. Just wanting to keep things down a bit and experiment with AM for the first time since I've been licensed. I'll take it easy as I go...no reason to rush things anyway. Thanks to all for the help.
