K6LAS arrested for snooping on Area 51
« on: November 11, 2022, 10:52:10 PM »

The FBI reportedly raided the home of the owner of a popular website that tracks everything related to Area 51.  This is according to a report from a lead investigative reporter of KLAS TV, an affiliate of CBS.

“FBI agents came down hard on the operator of a popular website devoted to all things Area 51–its programs, lore, and legacy. More than a dozen agents served a no-knock warrant on the Rachel, NV home of Joerg Arnu, owner of http://dreamlandresort.com…” investigative reporter George Knapp wrote.
Arnu is also K6LAS and must have made a public post of something U.S. authorities out of Washington DC felt inappropriate.

Joerg Arnu grew up in Germany where he obtained a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and started his career as a software developer. Today Joerg is a 25-year Area 51 research veteran, living in Rachel, NV, just outside the gates of Area 51. His Dreamland Resort website is all about the military R&D aspect of Area 51, Black Projects and Military Aviation.

“For 20 years and counting Dreamland Resort has been the most comprehensive source for information on Area 51, Black Projects, the Nellis Ranges, TTR, and the ET Highway. The webmaster is a 25-year Area 51 Research veteran and a resident of Rachel, NV, right outside the gates of Area 51,” according to the Dream Land Resort website.

George Knapp added, “They seized all computers, files, phones, photos. At the same time, another team of a dozen or more agents stormed into Arnu’s Las Vegas home, seized all digital devices and files, held his girlfriend at gunpoint.”

That story would make a good movie.
I’ll bet more than half of Americans wonder what goes on at Area 51. I know I do.

if there was only a link to the news article

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/20402108/mystery-area-investigator-home-raided/

Unless he was flying drones over Area 51 taking photos, don't know what he did wrong. And if he did, was it really necessary to conduct no-knock raids on his two homes, break doors and furniture, and hold his girlfriend at gunpoint? This agency has been overreaching a lot in the past couple of years. No-knock warrants have no place in the US except in emergencies such as hostage situations, or anytime someone is in danger. Innocent people and dogs have been killed because of no-knock raids going wrong.

My cousin was chief magistrate for a county in Georgia for 16 years. He told me he never issued a no-knock, but has been asked to at times. He said the requests were made because those inside the house had time to dispose the evidence if they knocked. So something that can be flushed down the toilet in a matter of a few minutes is worth people being killed? And when a person's door is suddenly busted in at 3:00 AM, they can reasonably assume it's a home invasion.

I suppose my take on things like this....Area 51, etc., is different than most.  Places like Area 51 were created for a reason.

Those who haunt the perimeters of such places to observe/report on what they see should be dealt with in the severest ways!  They are no more than domestic spies.  My opinion.

A military post I was stationed at in Germany was secure for years without a problem.  Then some rag printed the suggestion that the base was harboring an alien space ship.  From that it was one "news" lie after another and today the base is gone.

EVERY country maintains "secrets." Those who don't believe this is necessary simply are not living in the real world.

I have no sympathy for those who try to expose those secrets!

I found a link to one of Arnu's associates, Norio Hayakawa who appears to have more than a passing fascination for UFO's and Area 51.
https://noriohayakawa.wordpress.com/

On a side note, I now a person who did business with a firm that had a contract with Uncle Sam and they sent him to Area 51 to install something. He said they only bussed private contractors in on the same busses that carried military and/or govt personnell. First they had to open all carry on items tools, etc for a visual inspection then show official documents in the form of a pass dated and signed for a liason then they were bodily scanned for any cellfones, cameras or other items not allowed. On the route from the pickup point into Area 51 there were no, absolutely no conversations on the bus. He did his thing and returned in similar fashion.
I'm sure there is a need for high security going on the premises but this no-knock raid seems overblown, in the same way several political figures have been treated such as Mike Lindell.

It will be interesting to see how this all pans out. I noticed that in the The Sun interview Arnu does not specifically mention a no-knock warrant or that his girlfriend was held at gunpoint. Justice Dept information online reveals that getting a no-knock is now quite difficult and requires multiple sign offs before going before the federal magistrate.

Arnu also said that the search warrant was "vague" which is pretty unlikely. If it's vague enough to be challenged in court then all fruits of the search are inadmissible as evidence. They were clearly looking for documents, photos or communications. He is well known for his interest in Area 51 but otherwise seems pretty benign. It's quite possible that at some point he was given or offered documents or photos from another person that were held classified. That would be a problem.

A good high school friend of mine worked in that area when he was in the military back in the late 70s. When he got out of service we always asked him what he did there, He never would say and always tried to change the subject. To this day, 50 years later he still won’t say.

By all means hang the Trump loving SOB.

That sounds like a case of stage 5 TDS. Enjoy the inflation, high gas prices, food prices, open borders, out of control spending, and every other disaster that has occurred since Jan 20, 2021.

As a retired USAF Office of Special Investigations Special Agent in Charge, most of this article is pure BS.

Federal "No-Knocks" are only issued in cases where there was an imminent chance of destruction of National Security-related evidence. In this instance, I doubt very much this was a consideration. In over 22 years, I was only involved in 2 off federal property (Off Base) No-Knocks. The thought that the girlfriend was held at gun point is also laughable, If she was felt to be a danger, she would have been handcuffed, and sat down on the floor, and watched by a member of Law Enforcement with no weapon drawn. I will acknowlege that weapons would have been drawn at the initial serving of the warrant, but would have been secured once the scene was deemed  safe.

The whole article sounds like an attemp to gain attention. Also notice the lack of US publication of any articles, by reputable outlets.
