Many low-frequency enthusiasts will know of the Swedish historical radio station, SAQ, located at Grimeton. The transmitter uses a 200 kW Alexanderson alternator, operating on 17.2 kHz. Volunteers keeping the station alive make a number of transmissions each year, and the video and audio in a clip showing their most recent broadcast a few days ago are excellent, with new radio microphones largely overcoming the substantial background noise during a very informative guided tour before and after the CW message.
