Monitoring my cw on my laptop as I am transmitting
« on: November 19, 2022, 12:43:21 PM »

Hi, I have pulled out my paddle and have started to practice my sending after some time off, my receive is not bad.
As my laptop is by my radio I wondered if it could pick up my sending to see if I have made a mistake and also so I could practice off air too.

thanks

You could use this.  Just go to the site and read the instructions.

Why would you use your LapTop, when you can just use the monitor in you very good rig  ??

You do not have to be "on the air", to use the monitor to hear your own CW.  You can either use the speaker, or headphones.  Just look in the manual for CW monitor.

If you want, you can use the site I gave you, BUT  ..... you will have to actually be sending a signal not on the air.

It may also be just using the sidetone.    Have you read the manual carefully.
