Which forum for Equipment post?

I need suggestions on selecting equipment.
Which forum is appropriate for this?

It depends on what type of equipment. If you go to the main header "eHam forums" you'll see all the different forums. Amplifiers, transceivers, etc. "Elmers" and "Misc" also work.

That depends on the bans you want to use.
You can home brew or purchase kits.

Generally your not going to find a newer prebuilt transmitter very often but you may find used transmitters.

There are sites such as qrpme.com, qrpguys, qrplabs, and a few others where you can purchase easy to build kits but they will usually be 5 watts or less.

There is also qth.com ( ham classifieds)
