I have an ICOM ID-5100 purchased from a hamfest.  Unit was demo'ed working before I bought it but when I brought it home and tried to power it up, it seems to start, mike lights light up, I hear one click from the speaker, and then it powers down.

Is there an easy fix for this or do I have to send it in for repairs?

It's in my shack connected to the same Samlex 1235M power supply that I use for my ICOM 7300, so plenty of power.  I tried with just the ID-5100 connected to the power supply an with both rigs (7300 turned off) and same result.

Thanks,

Check the fuseholders.  They're notorious for becoming resistive or intermittent and creating a voltage drop.

Be careful with those Samlex 1235M power supplies or any switchers. When they go high order , they take everything hooked to them...
