Anyone familar with D&A PHANTOM Triple Stage AMP ?
« on: November 27, 2022, 11:22:14 AM »

I was looking at linear amps in the 2000 watt or less for DXing, and remembered this one from a child.  It says 10 15 20 and 40 meter and is listed as a Ham Linear Amp but not too sure.  It may be a amp used on 11 meters or "cb"...  Does anyone know?  I need some guidance as I do not want to damage the ic7300 or the AT2K antenna tuner by "trying" it.

I found a description of one online that stated it was designed for an input drive level of 4 watts. I think we all know what that means.

The multi band marking was done by 70's/80's CB amp manufacturers to keep the FCC away.  Don't even think about it.

And some manufacturers of these "multi band" amplifiers kept the deception going by installing a non-functional band switch with a hard wired single band tank circuit tuned for 11 meters.
