ok since i'm blind my right eye i found setting of my ft 897D radio ok that fix the baud whatever you call i set at 96000 or what i can see the radio so far hope atfer all the setting should be good to go ! see ya at ft8

for some rason can't get 897D  do anything with i went baud at 9600 and tryibt low baud 4800 it seen still red at frq with 0.0000.00 nothing happen and i see no bands yet but trying thuo still no luck yet i did found setting but can't get it t working keep up rig control so i dunno what i did wrong !

What were the setting you used that worked in WSJT?

I'm struggling to get my FT 897 to be seen by the software

The secret is to have the baud rate selected in WSJT-X to match the baud rate set on your radio.

What works for someone else will not always be what works for you. You need to make sure that the baud rate you select in WSJT-X is what you have selected in radio. They need to match.
