Pathetic.  The lot of you.

Have you no shame?   (Clearly not)

For real Ron?  It will be seven years in less than a month.
Seven years?  No, you've only been bullying N8WFF for that long.  You've been bullying Ten Tec as a whole for a great deal longer.

"For real?" yourself.

Being Ten Tec is a very small company, what radio would they produce to compete with the IC-7300 or the FTDX-10? The operational overhead for a small company is to great these days to come up with a niche market item.

The Alpha Radio Amplifier line is dead. OM Power and Mercury give you a much better bang for the buck.

Look in the product reviews under amplifiers. Ninety Eight percent of the names no longer exist.

Expecting  Ten Tec to rise from the ashes like the preverbal Phoenix is wishful thinking.

I find it somewhat humorous, but in an earlier news release by Ten Tec / Steven Dishop, he hoped to introduce a cutting edge Orion III radio. As usual from Ten Tec it's nothing but "Vaporware". The Eagle is no longer made and the Omni VII+is advertised, but probably selling off new old stock.

I never bullied anyone, and you should know that.  When RKR took over I did point out that they were obviously liquidating the inventory as fast as they could.  As for N8WFF, I have never mentioned him by name and prefer instead, to talk about the company as an entity, not a person.  I intend to keep it that way.

I think someone should ask Management to pin an anti-TenTec thread to the top of this category.  Then all you guys would have one big, huge, looong thread to post new stuff every month, instead of having it spread all over this category.

Wouldn't that be more convenient for you guys?
Or would that stifle your creativity too much??

Why can’t you guys just forget about this company, they are gone and will never be back.

Drake is done, gone kaput, not coming back, no more Drake radios or amplifiers.

Is that anti-Drake?  I don't see it that way, and I also don't see how discussing Ten Tec and Alpha are anti-anything either.   Afterall, they keep going to Dayton and telling everyone to hold on, have patience, we are working on it.  ::)

The problem is, none of us knows what it is that they are working on.  ??? The web sites are a cryptic mess of conflicting information and no obvious way to buy anything, assuming you even can.  That is not anti-anything my friend, it's just that after seven years people are starting to wonder why Ten Tec and Alpha still keep their crappy websites with the same old stuff on them.

Heathkit is a similar story.

Does this look like a "current" and interesting website to buy from?
Nothing new here either, just some left over junk in the warehouse.
I don' get why either either of these companies pretend to be in business!

I fixed your quote....

Can't speak for TenTec, but Alpha still sells parts for amp repairs and is building new amps.  And someone actually answers the Alpha email and gives people free tech support, for ANY Alpha amp ever built, any time they ask.  But since you have never emailed Alpha you wouldn't know that.  So why are YOU complaining?

I haven't said anything about Alpha! I don't think you will get any support at TenTec, though. I have tried that a couple of years ago...
Not complaining at all, in fact I'm happy they still maintain some info in an archive.
I'm wondering why Ten Tec and Heathkit do what they do. Seems pointless to pretend to be a 'going concern" . Just sayin'.

Well you quoted KA4DPO and he lumped them both together, as usual, so that's how it reads...

I'll have to take your word on it Glenn, but this:

https://www.alpharfsystems.com/?page_id=1519

is what comes up on the Store pulldown from your website.  It sort of conflicts with what you were saying.  Maybe you should get the website up to speed, that would aleviate a lot of confusion.

The same goes for the Ten Tec website as well, it shouldn't be too hard to tell customers what is likely coming down the pipeline in the near future.  That's one way they can generate some interest.

No, it says  "online parts store is CLOSED".  ONLINE.  When people email about parts, they can get them if Alpha has them available.
I know, I know, everyone wants instant gratification.  Guess that will be up the Christmas shopping websites.

I have said it before, I answer the Service email remotely, I'm not in Ohio and so I don't run anything.
