Kenwood TS-870 Question
« on: December 18, 2022, 03:10:54 PM »

When I unkey my TS-870 it often holds in transmit for 1-2 seconds in either CW or SSB then releases.  Anyone have this issue or a possible solution?
Thanks for any help

Have you checked the lower left, outer ring, knob to make sure it is fully counterclockwise? That adjusts DELAY.

Well.....duh...I just did and it was fully clockwise.  Returned it to fully ccw and problem solved.  My bad, right up there when I had the squelch about half way cw and thought I had intermittent receive.  Thank you sir!!

My favorite is dinking around with one of my TS-940s and would not come on.  That is what you get when you lift and move one.  I found I had bumped teh timer button.  Why they have that, I don't get it.  Works fine just have to watch what buttons one touches, shifts, moves, etc.
