I'm looking forward to hearing this DXpedition. All I have heard so far is the back of their beams.

"We will transmit at the center of the audio channel e.g., 1500Hz. You can call us wherever you want but spread
out in the whole audio channel. We will listen approx. from 200Hz up to 3000Hz from the center of the audio
channel."
(from TN8K FT8 Guide)

Therefore, you can call a TN8K even below their frequency. As it turns out, not many people know about it and it tends to be pretty empty there.

Shhhh don't tell everyone  ;) I've got through very quickly calling below them. There are a few groups that do this and most people use standard F/H practice by calling high, so you can avoid the crowd by calling below.

Their CW ops are top-notch too. An enjoyable expedition to work.

TN8K using "Club Log Live Stream" is pretty neat!

Trying to figure out why I can't hear these guys on 12m, FT8 or CW.  One of the few places I need TN.  Fixed Yagi on EU?

They were on earlier than you would think
I snagged them on 12 and 10 FT8 and 10 CW.

I spoke too soon James.  Got him @1739 on 12m CW.  They just had to hang around long enough for the band to crack open this far west.  Still none too loud. Previously the trouble had been as soon as it was greyline in TN, they would QSY to the low bands and start working EU.  They stuck it out longer on 12m today and I finally got an opening.  Now for 160m.  No luck last night, maybe better tonight.

Well.............  Its been a pretty miserable day here, heavy rain, and flooded in, not very deep but more than the car wil go through, so had a bit of shack time.

Listening to him on and off all day, then this afternoon he really did peak up in signal on 20mtrs beaming 037 from here so up over the pole sort of,  got a few really strong decodes while the amp warmed up, and bang in there, couple of calls on FT8 and got the response.  Gave him +11 and got -3, double check its on the live stream.

Happy chappie, thats another ATNO.

Teeny weeny signal here on 20 m CW. Not needed on 20, so not worried, but definitely not hearing the front of his beam here.
Glad you made it Gavin! The Live Stream tool is pretty cool.

Yep, it was on that mode  ;D, but quite honestly " I dont give damn"  maybe my last ATNO from here, the tower goes up for sale as soon as the purchaser confirms the dates with his solicitor and its packup and move along time.

Cheers  Gavin

Ok, propagation and my luck is improving, and they Turned Their Beams this evening!
I snuck through for a 15 m CW QSO yesterday. 30 m this morning for a new mode - Data. This evening, 10 CW for a New Band! I'll have to get out of bed early tomorrow to try for Low Bands. Just need 40, 80 160 m.
It's neat seeing one's callsign appear on the Live Stream!

I don't need a contact on any of the bands I have Antennas for but OMG these guys have been blasting in.
I had them 59+ on 20M,17M and 15M.  Also pretty loud on 40M.
