OB12-6-P HF BEAM ANTENNA QUESTION
« on: January 12, 2023, 10:29:35 PM »

Hello Elmers,

I have a 60' tower of which i  am installing a 10-12-15-17-20-40 meter directional opt beam ob12-6-P  along with a rotator and 100' of LMR 400.

Just wanted some feedback on the opti beam ob12-6-P and /or a model similar that you prefer over this one. It is still new in the box so it is going up or im trading it out for a model that you prefer due to your wisdom and feedback.

We have a Vertical, a starduster, and 2 G5RV 10 thru 80 wire antennas DX.   Vertical for uhf vhf,   Starduster for 11 meters and the 2 G5RVs for 10 meter through 80 meter. Also purchased a hexbeam just because it looks like the old clothes line with the center pole like i remember from my childhood.  If the hexbeam is junk we will lower it and make a Christmas decoration out of it and or actually use it to hang clothes in the summer time.

Any help / ideas/ suggestions  before i rent the boom to install this Opti beam on that tower?   Thank you all  and 73 !!

I am going to install a directional horizontal . This is my journey so I appreciate

From what I understand the Opt beam brand are excellent antennas. You're not gonna need that Hex you will already have good HF coverage from the Opt beam.
